Hello world!

Hello everyone,

The release date for my fourth book in my Samantha Barclay Series, is NOVEMBER 1. It’s entitled ‘SHADES OF ENVY’. My BOOK LAUNCH is on NOVEMBER 7, FROM 1:00 - 3:00 at Indigo, on Stone Church Road in Hamilton.

Here is a brief blurb:
‘Dead bodies are stacking up and teenagers want to be vampires. High School Counselor Samantha Barclay finds herself on another wild ride, as she tries to find the killer and help her students. Meanwhile, she is falling even more in love with the Sheriff, just as he is acting very secretively. Is there trouble in paradise? Samantha’s life, once again in jeopardy, makes her wonder whether she’ll survive with her life, as well as, her heart intact.

I already have two booksignings lined up - November 7 at Indigo in Stoney Creek from 1:00 - 3:00 and Port Dover on November 26, 27 & 28 at an Author’s Fair. My brother, author Peter Hurley will be signing with me.

My women’s fiction novel entitled ‘Never, Ever‘ has also found a home. The release date for this book is March, 2011.

This is a change of genre for me, as it’s not a mystery. ‘Never, Ever‘ is a story about three women. All face challenges, all overcome them. Here is a blurb: What do you do when you have a second chance to make your dreams come true, but are too afraid? What if you long to get married and have a family but keep choosing the wrong man, over and over? How about being the new girl at school and finding yourself the victim of bullying?

Social worker Ivy Blake survives a heart attack, decides to retire and do everything she’s always dreamed of. Only one problem. How do you say goodbye to your old life when you are a workaholic? Chris Palermo is a twenty-eight year old teacher who desperately longs to find true love, but chooses the wrong guy, date after date. Seventeen year old Jamie Hinks is a social outcast at her new school. Rebelling, she sports a blue fauxhawk and an attitude.

This book is about women supporting women as they search, explore and overcome obstacles. It is a journey of tough times, challenges and redeeming love.

By the way, I’d like to share a humorous picture my younger brother Brian took of my booksigning with my older brother, Peter Hurley in November, at Chapters. I thought it was hilarious and wanted to share it.

Chances is the third book in my Samantha Barclay Series, about a counselor in a High School. I had a lot of fun writing this book, especially creating the introduction of a brand new character - Mariah Blue, a newspaper reporter.

Here is a short blurb about my new book:

FBI agent Ryan Leam’s son is missing. Seeking truth, Psychologist Samantha Barclay risks her life to go undercover at Sacred Heart Academy. Newspaper reporter Mariah Blue is hot on Samantha’s trail. No one knows why. Will Samantha find the boy before it’s too late? Will she survive Mariah’s confrontation? The truth is shocking and unbelievable.

On a further note, already on my website, I have links to different health issues. A number of men in my life have developed prostate cancer. I added a link here to a blog where a friend of mine talks about his experiences with being diagnosed with prostate cancer and undergoing surgery. I am pleased to say that he is doing well. Here’s his links  I think you’ll find it very informative.
